NetEnforcer AC-2500 in a Hairpin Cluster
The NetEnforcer AC-2500 may be clustered in a hairpin configuration, in which two, three, or four devices are connected directly to the router on the multi-gigabit link. The illustration below shows how a cluster of four Allot NetEnforcer AC-2500 devices can be configured to provide throughput of 10 Gigabits per second. The hairpin cluster has a number of advantages:
- Only 4 units required to achieve full 10 Gbps throughput (bi-directional) – fewer than any other vendor
- Consolidated reporting and analysis of all traffic flowing through the cluster
- Flexible redundancy models (1+1, N+1, active redundancy)
- No additional switches needed
