Allot Communications Showcases AC-2500 Series of Broadband Management Devices at GLOBALCOMM 2006
Visit booth #42077 for a demonstration of the industry's most powerful DPI for service optimization
Minneapolis – June 5, 2006 – Allot Communications, the leading provider of deep packet inspection (DPI) technology for service optimization, will demonstrate its NetEnforcer AC-2500 series of broadband management devices at the GLOBALCOMM 2006 event at McCormick Place in Chicago, June 4-8, 2006. Designed for large carriers and service providers with highly demanding network environments, Allot's AC-2520 and AC-2540 models constitute the most powerful traffic management and service optimization solution on the market today.
The AC-2500 series provides up to 8 Gigabit ports and is designed to work in a fully-redundant network topology for extreme reliability. It supports throughput rates of up to 5 Gigabits/second, and manages up to 160,000 subscribers and 4 million flows in a single platform—more than any other device currently available.
The DPI capability of the AC-2500 allows carriers and service providers to have greater visibility into the network to inspect, identify and analyze hundreds of applications and protocols, track subscriber behavior, prioritize traffic and shape traffic flows. The information provided by deep packet inspection is critical for providers looking to optimize network speed, content delivery and performance of subscriber services on the network.
“It’s no longer enough for service providers to have a network that is simply up and running. The network has to be optimized for the best overall performance or customers will switch to a different carrier that has better service levels,” said Rami Hadar, president and CEO, Allot Communications. “This requires providers to support and maintain extremely high levels of speed, quality and uptime. Without deep packet inspection, none of this is possible.”
DPI technology provides a comprehensive view of traffic and applications on the network, allowing providers to maintain greater control of quality of service (QoS) on both the subscriber and the application level, and to differentiate themselves in the industry based on tiered service offerings and guaranteed service delivery.
The devices also come with Allot’s NetXplorer management software, for centralized reporting and traffic management. From a single vantage point, network administrators can track bandwidth usage and drill down to individual users, applications, and service plans. Data can be analyzed in real-time or over periods of time to assist in trend analysis, subscriber demographics, and capacity planning. NetXplorer also triggers alarms that can be programmed to identify potential security risks.
Other GLOBALCOMM highlights will include a demonstration of NetXplorer, as well as showcase of Allot’s NetEnforcer broadband management devices for small-to medium carriers and small to large enterprises, and presentations by Allot executives.
