NetEnforcer AC-2500 Clustered with Layer 3 Switches

Two, three or four NetEnforcer devices may be combined in a cluster to deliver multi-Gigabit throughput. The following illustration shows a cluster of four NetEnforcer AC-2500 devices managing bandwidth on a 10 Gbps link. The clustered NetEnforcers are connected to Layer 3 switches, which in turn are connected to network routers on the access link and on the Internet link. This cluster configuration has a number of advantages:

• Full 10 Gbps throughput (bi-directional) is achieved with only four devices – fewer than any other vendor
  
• Consolidated reporting and analysis of all traffic flowing through the cluster
  
• Flexible redundancy models (1+1, N+1, active redundancy, bypass)
  
• Minimal configuration of routers required (cluster appears as one device)

The NetEnforcer cluster delivers 10 Gbps throughput
while NetXplorer provides a consolidated view of all the traffic.
