A website is very different than a printed brochure.  Businesses typically spend a lot of time and money developing content and taking photographs and printing 10,000 copies of their print brochure to use with customers and potential customers.  Once that brochure has been printed, it obviously cannot change.

Once of the clear benefits to a website as a medium itself is that the content is totally changeable at any time.  If there are changes to your business, these changes can immediately be reflected on your website.  If your monthly special changes twelve times a year, your customers can know that when they are looking for the latest special they can always find it on your website.

Sometimes these changes can appear difficult because our typical client is not a website programmer who can update their own website.  In some cases, we can build an application to allow you to easily change your website by simply logging in and changing some text in a web form.  This process is described in detail in the Strategic Application Planning and Database Application Design sections of this website.  In most cases, it would be easiest for our clients to simply send us the changes that need to be made and have us take care of them.  Instead of billing an hourly rate, we have come up with a very flexible maintenance program for our clients to take advantage of that guarantees them to have their website always up to date.

The IGD Solutions Maintenance Program allows customers to pay only a fixed flat monthly fee each month and change any content on the website that needs to be changed or updated.  Adding pages to the website or changing the website graphical layout would not be included but all content text changes and all picture changes on the website are completely included in this program.  This would include adding a monthly special to the website each month, keeping an archived list of news articles on the website, or even posting a newsletter regularly to the website.  To calculate the fee for this maintenance program we examine the website and through an educated estimation on what will regularly change we can formulate the pricing.  Even if the website will just receive a face lift on an annual basis, the maintenance plan usually works out to be more economical and certainly more flexible than paying on an hourly basis.

When paying an hourly rate for updates, many updates sometimes take only ten minutes.  Usually companies will bill for a quarter or half hour in this instance which leads to people saving up their updates instead of keeping their website completely up to date all the time.  Our maintenance program allows our customers to budget exactly for their website updating needs and not have to worry about being charged additional fees every time an update is needed.

This program can be applied to an existing website or it can be used on a website we are currently developing.  There are no minimum contract terms with this program.  We created this program to give customers maximum flexibility while minimizing their costs.
